48 Hour Film Festival

The Pueblo 48 Hour Film Festival has been encouraging creativity among new and experienced filmmakers since 2008. Each year filmmakers are presented with the challenge of creating a film from start to finish in only 48 hours using the required thematic elements.

Requirements consist of quotes, a location, characters, and several props, all of which must be incorporated into each film of no more than six minutes and 30 seconds in length. The films are reviewed by a panel of judges during a public screening. Winners are recognized in an awards ceremony immediately following.

SISFA Film Festival

The StoryMode Independent Short Film Awards (SISFA) is an annual film festival celebrating the power of indie film nationwide. Now in its 11th year, this Southern Colorado festival is accepting short film, feature film, and short script submissions for entry into this year's show.

With so much festival noise out there, our mission is to provide a place for indie filmmakers to showcase their work for others to see and be inspired by, in an environment that is like no other.

Combining exciting films, red carpet events, live musical performances and an interactive live show, SISFA takes film festivals to a whole new level.

mountain film on tour

Held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Mountainfilm is a documentary film festival that showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues that matter. Along with exceptional documentaries, the festival goes beyond the film medium by bringing together world-class athletes, change makers and visionary artists for a multi-dimensional celebration of indomitable spirit. Mountainfilm, which includes interactive talks, free community events, a gallery walk, outdoor programming and presentations, aims to inspire audiences to action on worthy causes.

This film event travels to Pueblo each year as part of its World Tour schedule.
